VAR announces partnership with MegaRide

Zeewolde, March 16, 2023 – Van Amersfoort is happy to announce the partnership with MegaRide for the 2023 FIA F2 & F3 season.

Starting from the first championship round at Bahrain, the MegaRide logo will appear on all five VAR race cars divided over both championships.

The cooperation between VAR and MegaRide covers support in the preparation of race weekends, and in particular, identifying: 

• target temperature for tire operation
• best warm-up procedure to reach operating temperatures
• pressure and camber settings needed for grip optimisation

In addition, VAR's technical staff will interact with MegaRide to define test programs needed to improve understanding of tire behaviour.

Marc Giannone, VAR’s F2 Chief Engineer comments on the collaboration: “As the upcoming season is only our second FIA F2 Championship campaign. With the limitation in testing imposed by the series, MegaRide is proving to be the right partner in building knowledge and understanding of the tire and compounds we use, ultimately benefitting us on track.
