Hiyu’s motorsport journey started on the karting circuits at 8 years old, competing in various karting championship. He gained valuable experience in the karting field with one of his highlights finishing 2nd overall in the IAME Series Japan - X30 Junior in 2020. Since joining VAR for the Italian F4 and Euro 4 Championships in 2024, Hiyu has shown his resilience on track, delivering consistently strong performances.

Hiyu was among one of the top contenders in both championships, claiming a total of 11 podiums, 4 wins, 3 pole positions, and 4 fastest laps, making it the right time for him to take it to the next level. In 2025, the Japanese driver joined Van Amersfoort Racing in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine.
