Van Amersfoort Racing is looking for a motivated and experienced Truck Driver & Workshop/Facility Coordinator to join our international racing team. We compete at the highest levels of motorsport, including FIA Formula 2, FIA Formula 3, FREC, F4.
The Role
This role combines truck driving with workshop and facility support. You’ll ensure our cars and equipment are transported safely across Europe, while also maintaining a clean, organized, and fully functional workshop environment. From fixing small issues to coordinating waste management and supporting team operations at the track, you’ll play an important part in our day-to-day success.
Key Responsibilities
Transport & Trackside
- Safely transport race cars, spare parts, and team equipment to and from circuits across Europe (and any trips needed additionally for any team operation)
- Load/unload trucks and assist with paddock setup and dismantling.
- Perform routine truck checks, maintenance, and inspections.
Maintain transport documentation and comply with all driving/rest time regulations.
Support team logistics during race weekends: supply runs, hospitality setup, guest/driver transport, and general paddock operations.
General Workshop Maintenance
- Keep the workshop, storage, and common areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Repair and maintain workshop furniture, shelving, and storage systems.
- Organize and label spare parts, consumables, and tools.
- Handle basic handyman repairs (fixing doors, locks, lights, minor plumbing, etc.).
- Check and restock workshop consumables in exchange with chief mechanics (cleaning products, gloves, paper rolls, lubricants, etc.).
Waste & Environmental Management
- Coordinate proper waste separation (metal, rubber, oils, fluids, general trash).
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards for disposal of hazardous materials.
- Arrange collection of waste bins and recycling materials.
Tools & Equipment Support
- Clean and maintain tools after use (basic upkeep, inspections, small repairs).
- Support mechanics by preparing tools, tires, or equipment before sessions.
- Organize and maintain toolboxes, cabinets, and storage areas.
- Assist with loading/unloading workshop machinery or large equipment deliveries.
Facility Support
- Prepare hospitality or meeting areas inside the workshop if needed.
- Handle deliveries and ensure shipments are stored in the correct locations.
- Assist with setting up temporary workstations or tents for special projects or events.
Race Preparation Support
- Assist mechanics with any work needed for loading the trucks.
- Help with packing/unpacking equipment for races.
- Clean and prepare workspaces before and after race weekends.
- Ensure all equipment is securely packed and loaded into trucks.
Health & Safety
- Keep fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and safety equipment up to date.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure workshop safety standards are met.
- Support with emergency procedures or drills.
Requirements
- Valid truck driving licenses and certifications (including Code 95) for domestic and international driving.
- Experience in logistics, ideally within motorsport or a racing team environment.
- Hands-on mentality with technical affinity and basic repair/maintenance skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
- Flexible schedule, especially on race weekends, with ability to adapt to changing plans.
- Based in OR willing to move to the Netherlands and available full-time.
