Van Amersfoort Racing is currently seeking highly motivated, experienced No.1 Race Mechanics to join our FIA Formula 2 or FIA Formula 3 race and/or test team!
Job Description
As a 1st Race Mechanic at Van Amersfoort Racing, you will be directly responsible for the maintenance and performance of our race cars. You will play a crucial role in ensuring safety and reliability of our cars and securing our drivers’ success on track. You will be part of guiding the development and performance of our drivers. Based in Zeewolde, but as you can imagine you will see a lot of race tracks abroad.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the maintenance, set-up and repairs of our race cars in a safe and efficient manner to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the race engineer and other technical team members to make technical adjustments and improvements to our race cars.
- Meet specified deadlines to ensure the race car is functioning properly in preparation for the test sessions and races. Including logistical tasks as loading the race car and other equipment for transport safely and on time.
- Maintain a professional, organized and clean appearance of race cars, equipment and work area.
- Ensure compliance to and knowledge of strict safety procedures and regulations by team and drivers.
- Participate in pit stops during test sessions and races.
- Involved in development and maintenance of our test team cars.
Requirements
- Experienced as Race Mechanic and have a proven success track record in a professional motorsport environment. Experience in single seaters is preferred.
- Experienced with pit stops during test sessions and races.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of technical specifications, mechanical components and structural framework for race cars.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining the highest standards.
- Teamplayer mentality with a high sense of responsibility. Strong work ethic and commitment to succeed.
- Excellent English language skills, oral and written.
- Living in the Netherlands, or prepared to move, and available full-time is preferred.
- Work on weekends as well as being flexible to work overtime. Domestic and international travel is expected.
